Voting by mail is safe and easy!

 

If you’re over age 65, disabled, or will be out of the county during early voting and election day in November, you can vote by mail.

We’ll send voters a pre-filled application along with an envelope addressed and stamped to the Early Voting Clerk. A voter just signs it, fill in your ID numbers, and drop in the mail! Vote from home at your own pace on a paper ballot!

To Vote by Mail in Texas you must be:

  • 65 years of age or older on Election Day​

  • Sick or Disabled​

  • Expecting to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day​

  • Absent from the county of registration during the Early Voting period and on Election Day​

  • Civilly committed under Chapter 841 of the Texas Health and Safety Code​

  • Confined in jail, but otherwise eligible.​

What if you requested a Ballot by mail but want to vote in person?
  • Take your ballot with you to the polling station, and turn it in to the voting clerk. They will instruct you from there.Sick or Disabled​

  • If you lose or forget your ballot, you can still cast a ballot at the polling station. You will be allowed to vote with a provisional ballot​

 

What if you become disabled or ill on or after the deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot:

CCDP is looking for Judges and Clerks to work early voting and election day for the General Election. If you are interested please fill out the intake form.

If you have previously worked as a Judge or Clerk and would like more training the following classes are being held by the Elections Office. New Judges and Clerks are REQUIRED to take the class.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER DEPUTY VOTER REGISTRAR (VDR)!

If you want to turn the tide of extremism in Texas, help us register the voters we need to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. With no online or automatic voter registration in our state, your work as a VDR will be key to registering and turning out the voters we need to change what’s happening in Texas.

 

Before you can register Texas voters, you must first get certified as a Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR)
